Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Wheels

Comfort
We added serious refinement to the vehicle that has defined "rugged" for generations. The 2011 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited has made a dramatic upshift with an all-new interior featuring improved ergonomics, upgraded soft touch materials and quieter ride.
Standard niceties include an all-new instrument panel design with Air-Conditioning accents, redesigned centre stack with power mirror controls, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise control, a 12-Volt accessory outlet and an all-new instrument cluster with chrome accents.
Controlling just how much open air you want to allow in, is easy with one-touch-down power windows. For added security and convenience, power locks have been incorporated into the new look Wrangler Unlimited doors. The additional comfort in the 2011 Wrangler Unlimited hasn’t reduced its flexibility as a freedom machine, with all doors still easily removable.
We did all of this because part of being able to go anywhere confidently, is being able to go comfortably.
New Instrument Cluster
The premium instrument cluster’s gauges feature a technical aviation appearance. The large gauges are accented with chrome trim rings, displaying a digital compass, temperature and trip display with average fuel economy, distance to empty or clock.
Soft-Touch Surfaces
Revised front full-door inner sheet metal allowed Wrangler's designers to give the door trim a smooth, organic feel with upgraded soft touch surfaces and chrome accents. Beyond the refined style, the standard power door locks make your all-access vehicle a bit more accessible itself.
Wash-Out Interior with Drain Plugs
When you take to the trail, you're bound to get a little dirty. For interior cleaning and water drainage, remove the floor drain plugs located just below the foot spaces. The Dark Slate Gray floor carpets are easily removed and feature floor mat retention hooks on both front carpets. Hidden under the rear cargo mat is a removable storage bin which can keep your dirty items out of sight for the drive home.

Suddenly the buzz around Wrangler Unlimited is that we made it even quieter for 2011. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the sound insulation in the interior cabin. Even at freeway speeds, Wrangler offers a quiet and serene experience.
Seating
The seats inside the Wrangler Unlimited as just as versatile as the vehicle itself with the 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat offering a spacious 935 litres of cargo room with the rear seats folded. When all seats are occupied the rear cargo space offers 498 litres of total volume.
The front seats have a ratcheting mechanism that can raise the seat almost 50.8 mm, giving you the flexibility to find the perfect seating position.
Storage
Lots of changes in Wrangler's all-new interior with a multitude of user-friendly features, including: front door storage nets, locking centre console storage bin with removable mat, a new storage compartment above the Media Centre and a removable storage bin under the rear cargo area.
New Lockable Centre Console
The new fully-enclosed lockable centre console provides added security and convenience and helps protect your valuables from prying eyes and unwanted hands. Powertrain
Quieter. Lighter. Better. Get the power you need, contained in Wrangler Unlimited's 3.8-litre overhead valve 60-degree V6 engine. Its cast-iron construction provides robust performance and durability - with 146 kW at 5,000 rpm and 315 N.m of torque at 4,000 rpm. A 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 4-speed automatic transmission are available for the 3.8-litre petrol engine.
A diesel engine is also available in Wrangler Unlimited. The 2.8-litre Common Rail Direct-Injection turbo diesel produces 147 kW at 3,600 rpm and 410 N.m of torque at 2,200 - 2,600 rpm with the 6-speed manual transmission and 460 N.m of torque at 1,600 - 2,600 rpm with the optional 5-speed automatic transmission.
Prevent Pedal Bobble
Wrangler's Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system help prevent the "pedal bobble" that often occurs when in 4WD-low mode. ETC's special off-road calibrations help the driver to "feather in" the throttle over uneven terrain, logs and rocks. The difference is night and day.
Off-Road Performance
4WD mastery has always been at the core of the Jeep® brand.
Wrangler delivers many features in place to prove it's built for the off-road.
• Electronic sway bar disconnect that allows the front suspension to compress and expand further, making rock climbing a breeze by articulating the wheels to help you keep moving (standard on Rubicon).
• Tru-Lok® front and rear locking differentials that lock power and distribute it evenly between the wheels for the ultimate in traction (standard on Rubicon).
• Off-and on-road brake systems. A four-wheel disc anti-lock brake system (ABS) with a Jeep 4WD off-road calibration system provides more sustained wheel lockup on plowable surfaces like mud, sand, and gravel for improved stopping performance.
• The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system helps prevent the "peddle bobble" that often occurs when in 4LO mode. ETC's special off-road calibrations help the driver to "feather in" the throttle over uneven terrain, logs and rocks.
• Next generation Dana 44 heavy duty solid rear axles that offer durability, improved ground clearance and quieter operation. (Front Dana 30 standard on Sport, front Dana 44 standard on Rubicon).
• Heavy-duty suspension. Solid axles with locating arms, coil springs, track/stabiliser bars, front steering damper, and high-pressure gas- charged monotube shock absorbers are comfortably capable.
• Off-road protection in the form of 3 mm-thick stamped steel off-road skid plates for the fuel tank, transfer case and automatic transmission oil pan.
Command-Trac® 4WD
Command-Trac, standard on Wrangler Sport kicks into action and delivers equal power to all four corners, getting through the rough stuff with ease. Command-Trac is a part-time system and is not recommended for use on dry pavement.
Rock-Trac® 4WD
Rock-Trac 4.0:1 low-gear ratio allows Rubicon to crawl at a lower speed but with increased torque at the wheels, making it easier to trek over large rocks and logs. Rock-Trac is standard on Rubicon.
Angles
The legendary Jeep 4x4 capability is evident with Wrangler Unlimited's 257 mm of ground clearance, 38-degree approach angle, 20-degree breakover angle and 31-degree departure angle.
Handling
Tuned for superior ride, handling and noise reduction, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited’s heavy-duty five-link solid axle front and rear suspensions deliver excellent articulation and durability for off-road activity with much-improved on-road ride and handling for optimum highway driving.
Furthermore, Wrangler vehicles offer:
• Lower spring rates that help provide better on- and off-road ride.
• Driveshafts have been strengthened to more appropriately handle the higher torques.
• Monotube Shock Absorbers have a proprietary Low Speed Tunable (LST) valve technology that is firm at low speed for improved feel on the rocks and a relaxed feel at higher speed for optimum highway driving.
Hill Descent Control
Hill Descent Control (HDC) with grade sensing allows a smooth and controlled hill descent on rough or slippery terrain without the driver needing to touch the brake pedal. This system applies the brakes to each wheel individually when needed to reduce forward motion while negotiating down steep grades.
Monotube Shock Absorbers
Tuneable Monotube Shock Absorbers have a proprietary Low Speed Tunable valve technology that is firm at low speed for improved feel on the rocks and a relaxed feel at higher speed for optimum highway driving.
Body Stiffness
Wrangler Unlimited’s body-on-frame construction is fully boxed for added strength, stiffness and durability. A boxed body-on-frame design enhances suspension performance, reduces noise, vibration and harshness, and helps eliminate creaks and groans.
SECURITY & SAFETY
Protection
The list of Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited's safety and security features is as far-reaching as its capabilities.
For example, the sport bar uses high-strength steel and is integrated into the B-Pillar that runs into the floor. This improves side-impact performance, vehicle stiffness, torsional rigidity and control at highway speeds.
Safety features include:

Accident Avoidance
Not all roads are paved or smooth. Wrangler Unlimited’s four-wheel Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) has a unique rough road detection system that has a special program to assist in stopping performance on gravel or dirt roads.
The Traction Control system has a special set of calibrations specifically for driving in 4WD 4LO. To help crawl over obstacles and during heavy articulation activity, it applies the brakes more aggressively and for a longer duration for enhanced traction.
In a panic brake condition, Wrangler Unlimited's Brake Assist system applies maximum braking power, providing the shortest possible stopping distance.
Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM) uses innovative motion sensors that determine when a rollover may occur and applies braking force to the correct wheel or wheels to reduce the likelihood of such an accident.
Anticipating the need for additional traction, all of Wrangler's four-wheel drive systems automatically respond to wheel slippage and improve vehicle stability.
Maintain Control
During extreme steering manoeuvres the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system helps maintain control by sensing when the vehicle is starting to over- or understeer.
ESC automatically applies individual brakes or controls the throttle to help you stay safely on course. When you don't want the extra hand, ESC is specially tuned for performance handling so you can switch it off.
Theft Deterrents
Wrangler Unlimited offers you several theft deterrent features to ensure your valuables remain safe when you’re away. First off, both the centre console and glove box are lockable with your key.
Hold and hide your precious cargo in the secure hidden under-floor storage bin. The clever rear storage bin is only accessible when the lockable rear swing gate is opened.
The remote keyless entry fob controls door and tailgate locks, putting both convenience and security at your fingertips.
At night you can light your path towards your vehicle using the entry fob controls to automatically turn your headlamps on as your vehicle unlocks.
The Sentry Key® engine immobiliser is a great assurance that your vehicle never goes anywhere without your permission.
